ABOUT RESEARCH DAY

Panel Discussions: This year, we’re hosting 3 insightful panels featuring distinguished voices from across our community. These sessions are designed to give you exclusive access to expert perspectives on topics that matter most to SBME including defining SBME, future SBME faculty hiring priorities, and discussing career-making resources and tools that drive research success.

Debates: Get ready for dynamic, thought-provoking discussions as students and faculty go head-to-head on the hot topic of publishing in highest impact journals.

Trainee Talks: Select trainees will present their research in short Trainee Talks. Come support them and learn about current research initiatives at SBME!

Poster Session: There is such a diverse range of biomedical research excellence at SBME. Our Poster Session gives BME trainees and staff the chance to share their findings with the community.

New! Fireside Chats: Wrap up the day by joining SBME faculty members in a relaxed, informal setting to discuss the topics that interest you most! You’ll have the chance to connect with faculty from all research themes while enjoying light refreshments. It’s a fun and engaging way to end the day and get to know one another better.

Lunch and coffee will be provided to those who RSVP!

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of biomedical engineering, engage with cutting-edge research, and celebrate the achievements of our talented researchers. UBC School of Biomedical Engineering Research Day is an event that promises inspiration, knowledge sharing, and the chance to be part of the conversation for the future direction of SBME!
