Dr. Ryan D’Arcy‘s biography:
Dr. Ryan D’Arcy is a neuroscientist and health technology executive with 30 years of
experience in translating brain science into clinical solutions. As Co-founder of HealthTech
Connex, he led the development of NeuroCatch®, an FDA-registered neurotechnology
platform for assessing brain function. He is a full Professor and Endowed Chair at SFU and
has affiliations with UBC.
With over 300 peer-reviewed publications and multiple patents, Dr. D’Arcy has secured
more than $100 million in research funding. He pioneered the concept of brain vital signs
for quick, non-invasive cognitive evaluations in cases of concussion and
neurodegenerative diseases, leading to the widespread adoption of NeuroCatch in clinical
trials and hospitals.
An expert at the intersection of neuroscience and medical devices, Dr. D’Arcy has
successfully built research-driven technology programs and mentored over 300
professionals, maintaining a strong emphasis on commercialization alongside scientific
rigor to bring neurotechnology to market effectively.
