Research Seminar: Beyond the Transcriptome: Proteome-Wide Overexpression Screening for Clinical Insight – Dr. Dae-Kyum Kim

September 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm PDT

Location:

Lecture Theatre B1001, Gordon B. Shrum Building – 6088 University Boulevard, Vancouver BC

This talk introduces BOGO, a novel proteome-wide gene overexpression platform designed to proactively identify cancer vulnerabilities that are often missed by traditional patient-data-driven methods. By systematically screening the entire human ORFeome in an isogenic cell line, this approach successfully uncovered clinically relevant genes that regulate cell proliferation and confer resistance to a wide range of chemotherapeutic drugs. The results validate this platform as a powerful tool for discovering novel therapeutic targets and developing rational combination therapies in personalized oncology and other complex diseases.
