Polina Anikeeva

Dr. Polina Anikeeva’s Biography:

Professor Polina Anikeeva is a leading researcher in bioelectronics, specializing in minimally invasive technologies to interface with the nervous system. She earned her BS in physics from St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University and a PhD in materials science and engineering from MIT, followed by postdoctoral training at Stanford. Now a professor at MIT, she directs the K. Lisa Yang Brain-Body Center and is associate director of the Research Laboratory of Electronics. Her Bioelectronics Group develops multifunctional fibers and magnetic nanomaterials that enable precise neural recording and stimulation, advancing neuroscience and potential treatments for neurological and psychiatric disorders.
